Mississippi State University is known nearly as much for its cheese than it is for Bully, its 4-legged mascot. You can stock up on the college’s famous Edam, cheddar, and Vallagret cheeses as well as homemade ice cream at the MAFES Sales Store, which is located on the MSU campus. Open since 1907, Williams Brothers is famous for its "old time" slab bacon and hoop cheese – both of which are hand-sliced on site.
