Of all the sights on Mississippi’s Gulf Coast, the Biloxi Lighthouse is probably one of the most well known. And while many residents know about it, not many have visited the iconic lighthouse, which is a real shame because it’s got a lot to offer. First, you can climb to the top to take in the expansive vistas of Biloxi as well as the surrounding coastline. But the great views don’t end there. There’s also a pier that extends out over the Gulf of Mexico, where you can take in even more waterfront vistas. Take a look:
Guided tours of the lighthouse are offered daily at 9 a.m., 9:15 a.m., and 9:50 a.m. Admission is just $5 for adults and $2 for kids 12 and under. For more information, call (228) 374-3105. You can also visit the City of Biloxi website or the Biloxi Lighthouse Facebook page.
So, ever visited the Biloxi Lighthouse? Did you take a stroll along the Lighthouse Pier? If so, what’d you think? Tell us in the comments section.
