Lots of restaurants boast scenic settings, but none quite compare to Aunt Jenny’s Catfish Restaurant. Not only is it housed in a former antebellum home, but it’s nestled under giant, 500-year-old oak trees.
Hiding in plain sight, Aunt Jenny’s Catfish Restaurant is nestled just off the beaten path in Ocean Springs.
Beautiful inside and out, the restaurant is surrounded by towering oaks that are hundreds of years old. What’s more, the property overlooks Fort Bayou.
Though not too varied, the menu features plenty of tasty choices, including “all you care to eat” hand-fed catfish filets, fried chicken, and golden fried shrimp.
With an on-site gift store, it’s also a great place to shop. Chickadee Nest Gift Shop is located in the restaurant’s lobby and carries party supplies, candles, handmade pottery, and more.
