Though Daniella was born in New York and has lived in a couple of other states, Mississippi has been her home for more than 30 years. After graduating from the University of Southern Mississippi, Daniella began to hone her writing skills through various internships. Long before the days of mass production, carousels were considered real works of art, and a man by the name of Gustav Dentzel was known for creating some of the most impressive in the country. Eventually, one of Dentzel’s majestic creations made its way to Meridian. Now a well-known landmark, the Dentzel Carousel is steeped in just as much history as it is beauty. Take a look:
