Though Daniella was born in New York and has lived in a couple of other states, Mississippi has been her home for more than 30 years. For the most part, we Mississippians are happy to welcome visitors and let them see firsthand just how great the Magnolia State is. However, outsiders need to plan their visits accordingly – otherwise they’ll get the wrong impression of our wonderful state. One time of the year that should definitely be avoided is winter. Sure, we like to talk up our (mostly) “mild winters.” And if by some chance it actually snows, we boast about how beautiful it is. But it’s all just a façade. In fact, winter is, in all honesty, a horrible time to visit Mississippi – and here are 12 reasons why.
