So, get your calendar out and read on to learn about 10 fantastic street fairs that’ll show you the best of Mississippi.
1. Market Street Festival, Columbus
Each May, tens of thousands of people head to Columbus for this festival, which has been named one of the top events in the state by the Southeast Tourism Society. The two-day event features more than 200 arts, crafts, and food vendors in addition to musical entertainment and a variety of activities for the entire family.

2. Street Festival, Picayune
Named one of the "Top 20 Events in the Southeast," this small town festival is held twice a year, in April and November. The two-day fest includes hundreds of vendors, three stages of entertainment, a classic car show, train rides, children’s activities, food booths, demonstrations, and more.

3. Peter Anderson Arts and Crafts Festival, Ocean Springs
Drawing crowds of more than 100,000, it’s not surprising that this festival has been named one of the top in the Southeast. Taking place over the course of two days in November, the fun-filled event includes more than 400 artists, crafters, and food booths. The surrounding businesses even take part in the fun with sales, specials, live music, and more.

4. Blueberry Jubilee, Poplarville
Each June, more than 10,000 people head to Poplarville for this charming small town festival. More than just blueberries, the annual event includes locally made arts and crafts, storytelling, live entertainment, rides, and lots of food.

5. Prairie Arts Festival, West Point
As one of the country’s biggest arts and crafts festivals AND one of the top 10 events in the South, this festival needs to be on your bucket list. Held on the Saturday before Labor Day, the entire family is sure to enjoy the fun-filled event, which, in addition to arts and crafts, includes "down home southern cooking," live music, classic cars, and more than 600 exhibits.

6. Tallahatchie River Fest, New Albany
Named "America’s Best Southern Small Town" by USA Today, New Albany is a great visit year round, but it’s especially lovely during the Tallahatchie River Fest. The "premier festival," which is held over a weekend each October, includes an arts market, concerts, and more.

7. Loblolly Festival, Laurel
A great way to spend a fall day, the Loblolly Festival is always the first Saturday in October. During the one-day event, the streets of downtown Laurel are lined with vendors, artists, and crafters from several states. 8. Natchez Trace Festival, Kosciusko
An annual springtime favorite, this festival is held during the last weekend of April in downtown Kosciusko. 9. Great Delta Bear Affair, Rolling Fork
Each year, this annual fest, which is held the 4th Saturday of October, draws huge crowds to the small town of Rolling Fork.
