Rhubarb pie is his weakness, so discovering new diners is also a passion.
It seems that you can get a flight of just about anything these days, from craft beer, wine, and spirits to burgers and chicken wings. One of the most unique food flights in Minnesota, however, is one of the most deceptively simple, because it should be obvious. But it took the sharp minds of the folks at The Fort Bar and Grill to put this innovation into action. Read on to learn more!
The Fort Bar and Grill is a laid back roadhouse that's been serving folks in Fort Ripley since 1934.
You have your choice of a top sirloin, New York strip, or a ribeye - grilled perfectly to your specification. There's also a weekly prime rib special for your beef-loving pleasure.
Other than its steaks, The Fort is renowned for a simple, yet surprisingly unique in the Land of 10,000 Lakes, innovation: its soup flight.
That's right, The Fort offers three or more soups on a daily basis, and you can order a flight of three. You get three, six-ounce servings of each soup, along with crackers and a dinner roll. Is there a better way to warm up on a chilly winter day in Minnesota?
In addition to the aforementioned prime rib special, you'll find plenty of other specials throughout the week.
The pork ribs are particularly popular. Don't worry, there are plenty of other options on the menu, too, ranging from apps and burgers to sandwiches and salads.
One thing is certain, though: After a meal at The Fort Bar and Grill, you will not be hungry! For more information or to see the full menu, visit The Fort Bar and Grill on the web. You can also keep up with The Fort on Facebook.
