1. Cannon Valley Trail - Cannon Falls
The Cannon Valley Trail is a 20-mile paved path that runs through some of Minnesota's most scenic areas. It runs from Cannon Falls to Red wing, though walkers, skaters, and bikers can choose any entry point along the way. The trail follows the path of the Cannon River, winding through thick forests with beautiful views. In some places, the tree canopies join together to create an incredible tree tunnel.

2. Stoney Ridge Treehouse
This lovely treehouse sits on 50 acres of land in Burtrum, a small town about two hours north of the Twin Cities. The treehouse comes with lovely views of a small lake, where visitors can fish or simply enjoy the view. To enter the treehouse, visitors walk across a picturesque bridge, which leads into a fully stocked - and very beautiful - living space. It's the ideal place to find some relaxation among the trees.

3. Mille Lacs Kathio State Park Fire Tower - Onamia
Nestled among the trees of a beautiful state park in central Minnesota, this fire tower is a truly breathtaking experience. After a walk along the raised boardwalk beneath the forest canopy, you will be met with a series of steep stairs. These lead 100 feet up above the ground, where you'll have a bird's eye view of the surrounding area for miles. The experience is certainly not for those afraid of heights, but if you can stomach it, it's incredible.

It's a great activity to do in the fall if you want to see the area blanketed in orange and orange.

7. The Lost Forty - Chippewa National Forest
This amazing forest may be the best mistake that ever happened in Minnesota. It is the result of a surveying error that prevented loggers from cutting down a section of the forest. A little over 30 miles outside of the Twin Cities, this zip line course is ideal for a day of adventure. Sand Creek is a popular attraction that offers both incredible views and exhilarating fun. You'll speed from an elevated platform, through the trees, and to the ground. During this time, you'll have a gorgeous view of southern Minnesota from above the trees.
