Bigger isn’t always better – and lots of Minnesota restaurants prove it! The Land of 10,000 Lakes is full of tiny eateries that make up for their size with big flavor. That’s certainly the case for local landmarks such as Al’s Breakfast. But there are other little spots that, while they are small, are well worth visiting for their excellent food and great atmosphere. One of our favorites? A small restaurant on Lake Street in Minneapolis called Town Talk Diner. Don’t blink, or you’ll miss the delicious food at this tiny spot.
The Town Talk Diner is a tiny restaurant in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It's nestled among the buildings along the city's busy Lake Street.
Town Talk Diner has been around for decades, with many owners coming and going. It has waxed and waned in those long decades, but today the restaurant is nothing short of excellent.
Step inside the tiny establishment and take a seat in the surprisingly open dining room. If you want a glimpse of the action outside, take a seat at the window. Watch the daily activities of Lake Street unfold.
On weekends, the menu gets even better. Stop in for the Saturday brunch for elevated takes on your favorites. Cinnamon rolls, French toast, omelettes, and more await!
