The Land of 10,000 Lakes is home to some truly delicious diners. While many Twin Cities restaurants get a lot of praise, there are great spots in every region of the state. For example, northern Minnesota’s Brainerd Lakes area is home to more than a few excellent eateries. There’s one in particular we’d like to introduce today: the Barn in Brainerd, Minnesota. Here, you’ll find a homey dining area, homestyle menu, and as much homemade pie as you can eat. Here’s what you’ll find when you visit this popular Brainerd restaurant:
The Barn is a cozy restaurant in Brainerd, Minnesota. It's a great stop for anyone fishing, camping, or visiting the cabin at any of the many lakes in the area. The outside is unassuming, but the food inside will surprise you.
The restaurant's low-key exterior continues inside. The dining room has an old-fashioned restaurant vibe, complete with a line of stools at the dining counter. You'll feel right at home!
Many stop into the Barn for breakfast. Their menu has great choices such as pancakes, French toast, omelettes, hash browns, bacon, and more. You'll find all your favorites here!
People love visiting the Barn for lunch and dinner as well. Hearty, old-fashioned meals make up much of the menu, from roast beef dinners to breaded pork feasts.
Sandwiches are also a popular choice. In fact, the Barn specializes in classic Maid Rite sandwiches. These loose meat sandwiches are a diner staple that you can't get in many places anymore!
There are more than a dozen pies on the menu, from old-fashioned sour cream raisin to popular apple. There are cream pies, fruit pies, and everything in between.
