Being the Land of 10,000 Lakes, it is obvious that Minnesota has some serious shoreline. But did you realize that we have more than 90,000 miles of it? That is more than California, Florida and Hawaii combined! Many of those contain beautiful beaches that are perfect for laying on the sand, skipping rocks, or just enjoying the lake view. While all are gorgeous, few stack up to the beach at Zippel Bay State Park. This lovely spot has pristine white sand beaches just waiting for sunbathers. Take a look:
Located roughly 6 hours northwest of the Twin Cities, Zippel Bay State Park is located at 3684 54th Ave NW in Williams, Minnesota.
The park offers six miles of lovely trails for hikers and bikers. A stroll through the woods will put you in touch with Mother Nature. Who knows, you may even see some wildlife.
Fishing is also a popular activity at Zippel Bay State Park. Whether you cast your line into Lake of the Woods or try your luck in a nearby pond, you're sure to have a good time.
All in all, this beautiful white-sand shoreline is one of the most pristine beaches in all of Minnesota. Plan a trip to Zippel Bay for peace, quiet, and plenty of beachy fun.
Check out the DNR website for camping reservations and to see what the park has to offer! Have you ever seen the beautiful white sands of Zippel Bay State Park? Let us know what you thought!
