As if Minnesota’s lakes weren’t amazing enough, beachgoers also have lakeside restaurants to look forward to. Many restaurant owners have set up shop along lake shores to help sunbathers find refreshment after a long day outdoors. While many of these restaurants lie not too far from major cities or resort towns, there are a few that are a bit more secluded. One of the best is Fisher’s Club, a beachside restaurant in Avon, Minnesota. There, great food and beautiful views combine to offer a truly magical dining experience.
Fisher's Club is an historic restaurant that has been around since the 1930s. You can find it at 425 Stratford Street West in the small town of Avon, Minnesota.
Over the years, the restaurant has gone through many changes. But there are a few things that have stayed the same. For decades, the restaurant has overlooked Middle Spunk Lake, a 231-acre lake popular for fishing walleye, bass, and northern pike.
Thanks to the large, sandy beach, locals also love swimming in Middle Spunk Lake. But because Avon is small, not many know about this little beach. Because of this, a visit to nearby Fisher's Club feels like a rare treat.
Speaking of the patio, it's large and shaded. If you want food with a view, this is where you'll want to eat. It offers great views of the beach and lake - and is ideal if you're a little sandy from your day on the beach.
After you've settled in on the patio, it's time for food. Fisher's Club is famous for its walleye dinner, which you can order with one, two, or three pieces. If you like walleye, this should be your top lunch or dinner pick.
