Many of us already know that Minnesota is home to many excellent craft breweries. They’re not only all over the state’s largest cities but in small towns as well. But fewer people know that our quiet little state is also home to some truly phenomenal wineries and vineyards. You can even visit many of them, including the gorgeous spot we’d like to introduce today. If you want to sample Minnesota-made wines in a gorgeous setting, head to Rolling Forks Vineyards. Check it out:
Rolling Forks Vineyards is a beautiful vineyard in Glenwood, Minnesota. It's about 135 miles northwest of Minneapolis, or 70 miles west of St. Cloud. Tucked away into an area full of rolling hills of farmland, it is absolutely gorgeous.
The vineyard produces cold-hardy grapes to create Minnesota-made wine. There are many varieties, so if you're a wine lover you're sure to find your new favorite.
The vineyard has a tasting room where you can decide for yourself which one is your new go-to wine. It's a fun way to learn about wine and to give yourself a treat!
You can make a meal of it, too! The menu at Rolling Forks is full of light, tasty fare, from appetizers to salads to sandwiches. Many enjoy their wide menu of specialty pizzas!
You can enjoy your choices in the indoor tasting room. But you may have an even better time if you head out to the patio. Here, the view of the surrounding farmland is nothing short of spectacular. You can even see Lake Minnewaska in the distance!
