The Onion River Trail is an easy 1.1-mile out-and-back trail. While most of the trail is flat, there is a 53-step staircase at the beginning of the trail by the parking lot, so it is unsuitable for strollers or those with mobility difficulties.

The trail is shaded most of the way, so you will stay cool even on a hot summer day. The trail is open year-round, but visitors may want to bring snow shoes in the winter.
