Many of Minnesota’s best restaurants have been around for decades. Even the smallest towns hold century-old restaurants, while Minneapolis is home to the state’s oldest bar. Minneapolis is also where one of the state’s oldest delis stands. Kramarczuk Deli has been around since 1954, and now it stands as a Minneapolis landmark. Not only is it a landmark, but it’s still a delicious place to grab a bite. Don’t miss out on their pierogies! Here’s what you need to know:
Kramarczuk Deli is a popular place in Minneapolis, drawing visitors for lunch and dinner every day of the week. As soon as you step up, you'll feel right at home.
Wherever you sit, make sure you showed up hungry! Kramarczuk Deli has been around since 1954. That means it's been serving up great food for more than 60 years! The deli specializes in Eastern European staples.
Handmade sausages are just one of the delicious, homemade options to choose from. Bratwurst, kielbasa, and Ukrainian sausages can all be ordered on a bun with kraut and onions.
Sandwiches are another great option. The Reuben is great, as is the pastrami sandwich. Order it with a cup of borshch or goulascz for a super filling, hearty meal.
Everything is good, but a favorite option of many visitors are the homemade pierogies. They're made fresh daily and are filled with potato and cheese or sauerkraut. There are also seasonal options!
Order a plate of pierogies plain, or consider a combination platter with sausage and a cabbage roll to go with it. One bite of your first pierogi, and you'll already be making plans to come back!
Kramarczuk Deli is open Monday through Wednesday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday through Saturday 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, take a look at their website and Facebook page.
