Rhubarb pie is his weakness, so discovering new diners is also a passion.
Is there really a better time than autumn in the Land of 10,000 Lakes? The weather’s cooler, but not frigid, the bugs are gone, and the foliage on the trees is blazingly beautiful. It’s also a perfect time to enjoy a little agritainment in the form of pumpkin and/or apple picking – and then sample the fruits of the season with some seasonal goodies. I think this particular pair of places blends the two quite nicely – and combined, they make for a fabulous fall day trip in Minnesota.
One of our favorite places to pick out our pumpkins in southeast Minnesota is Northwoods Orchard.
All the food is scratch made, and you’ll find a regular rotation of specials, including pies, desserts, and seasonal treats. It’s the perfect place to top off your day trip.
So, what are you waiting for? Pack up the car, and hit the road on this awesome autumn day trip in Minnesota! Have you visited Northwoods Orchard near Oronoco or Coffee Mill Cafe in Zumbrota? Let us know in the comments!
