When you’re from Minnesota, you get used to having to defend and explain a lot of things about your state. From our position in the continental US to the reasons behind ice fishing, here are some of the things we are honestly just tired of telling out-of-towners.

1. We are the northernmost state in the lower 48.

Minnesotans are often confused with being overly nice when actually we are just trying to avoid direct confrontation.
3. We are not that interested in the weather, it is just life.

Minnesota experiences some drastic climates but to us it’s just weather and we are over talking about it.
4. Complaining is just our way of showing love for our sports.

We might be upset at times but we always bounce back and support our teams even if it has been 25 years since our last championship.
5. We don’t actually love ice fishing, it is just an excuse to get out of the house and drink beer.

We can’t help that we are lucky enough to have so many lakes ,so it only makes sense that we would combine some of our favorite pastimes in the off season.
6. We don't leave without a long goodbye.
7. None of us are actually from the “Twin Cities.”

13. Snow is more than just fun outdoor activities, it’s also a means by which we travel.

14. We do have a giant ball of twine and yes we're gosh darn proud of it.

15. The rivalry between Minnesota and Wisconsin is real, but come Sunday we are friends. (With the exception of Vikings vs. Packers).
