On the North Shore of Lake Superior, next to one of MN’s most remote and beautiful state parks, you can find a stunning and unique lodge and restaurant, where walking through the door will transport you far away – or at least it feels like it! Sitting in the middle of a jaw dropping property, right on the lake, this restaurant not only provides amazing views, but serves food to match!
It's called The Naniboujou Lodge, and it is one of the most amazing dining experiences you can have in Minnesota.
This historic lodge has beautiful architecture and its roots go back all the way to the 1920s, when it was run as an exclusive club with famous members.
It operates as a resort, and as soon as you pull up you'll start to notice the building details that will make you feel as if you stepped back in time.
The combined Native American and Art Deco aesthetic is awe-inspiring in the interior, and you can't find a single surface that isn't covered in vivd designs.
There is a stunning fireplace (the largest stone fireplace in the state) guests can warm up by on cold Superior days, and the dining room is extremely cozy.
This historic, phenomenal restaurant is absolutely worth every minute of the drive up North - and if you're already considering it - wait until you see the rest of the lodge!
