With all of the fall harvest festivals on the horizon, it’s not hard to find a great weekend activity in Minnesota. But between all that cider drinking and pumpkin picking, you may want to leave some time for what may be Minnesota’s most unique festival. Read on to learn all about it.
In Alexandria, Minnesota, Carlos Creek Winery stands out as one of the most special outings in the area. It is located at 6693 County Road 34 West in Alexandria.
A visit to the tasting room will give you the opportunity to taste the fantastic wines. Then, you can buy a bottle or two to take home. There are also free tours of the facilities and vineyards available.
As for food, many vendors will set up shop at the festival. You can expect to find some of your favorite fair foods like cheese curds and french fries.
Of course, the main event each day is the grape stomp. Teams face off to see who can stomp the best. Teams of two can sign up to stomp together for $25 per team.
The Carlos Creek Winery Grape Stomp will take place from September 15 to September 17. Admission costs $5 on Friday and Saturday and $3 on Sunday. Hours and activities vary each day. Click here to read more about the festival.
