Oh No…These 13 Counties Are The Most Sinful In Minnesota
We talked about the most religious counties in the state, and now it’s time to see which ones are the most sinful! With some help from FindTheHome, we rounded up the top 13 by looking at their number of vice businesses per capita. These include casinos, liquor stores, and adult entertainment establishments. Here is the final countdown:

In Kandiyohi County there are 2.84 vice businesses for every 10,000 residents. They barely get a spot on the list, coming in around average for Minnesota and the US as a whole. There are several liquor stores in the county, but only 2 casinos.

Located just east of the Twin Cities and bordering the St. Croix River (and Wisconsin), Washington County similarly has close to the US average of vice businesses, coming in at 2.95 per 10k residents. Being home to some of MN's favorite getaway spots definitely accounts for some of those numbers!

Ramsey County, home of our state capital, comes in 11th with 3 vice businesses per 10,000 people, and while it's closer to the Minnesota average, it's 21% higher than the US average.

In Douglas County there are 3.02 vice businesses per 10k residents, which is 23% above the US average. Douglas County is in west central Minnesota and its county seat is Alexandria.

Just North of Douglas County we can find the next one on our list. Otter Tail has an average of 3.14 vice businesses per 10k residents, 27% above the US average, yet still just above the MN average.

With 3.18 vice businesses per 10k people, Carver County (southwest of Minneapolis) takes #8. They have 1/3 more of these businesses than the US average.

Goodhue County has 3.24 vice businesses per 10k residents. Goodhue also made the drunkest counties list last year with 26 percent of adults reporting binge or heavy drinking. Tough break for Goodhue, but we can probably blame all the vacationers in Red Wing!

Northeast of St. Cloud, Benton County takes 6th place with 3.59 vice businesses per 10k residents. This is 46% more than the US average.

With 4.02 vice businesses per 10k residents, 63% above the US average, Sterns County starts our top 5. It's home to St. Cloud and surrounding towns to the west. We'll just chalk it up to those crazy college kids!

In Winona County, along the Mississippi, there are 4.09 vice businesses per 10k residents. It's the top riverside county on this list, and comes in 68% above the national average.

4.15 vice businesses per 10k residents puts McLeod County firmly in 3rd place. This county is west of the Twin Cities, and Glencoe is the county seat.

Itasca County, in the heart of Northern Minnesota, has a whopping 78% more vice businesses than the US average (5.29 per 10k).

Morrison County is by far the leader on this list. It's situated between St. Cloud and Brainerd and has 8.47 vice businesses per 10k residents - 3.4 times the national average!
