Minnesota’s waterfalls are among the best in the country – and maybe even the world. There are more than 100 waterfalls to explore within our borders. Some require remote hiking, but most of Minnesota’s best waterfalls are easily accessed within state parks.
The latter is certainly the case for Gooseberry Falls. Because popular spot Minnesota’s unofficial favorite waterfall, we think it’s important that everyone take a trip there at least once. Here’s what you need to know about this beautiful spot:
Gooseberry Falls is a waterfall at the beautiful Gooseberry Falls State Park. Address: 3206 MN-61, Two Harbors, MN 55616.
Access the falls by a quick hike from the parking area. A nearby interpretive site and gift shop will tell you more about the area. When you're all ready, head down the path.
When you get there, you'll be amazed. Gooseberry Falls is a multi-level waterfall surrounded by a tall, rocky gorge. The three falls fall in close succession over a rocky gorge.
Have you ever been to Gooseberry Falls? There’s a reason this gorgeous waterfall is the most popular spot in Minnesota! But do you have any other favorite Minnesota waterfalls? To get the most out of your North Shore vacation, check out our ultimate Minnesota waterfalls road trip.
