Of all the towns in all the world, Red Wing, Minnesota, might just be the most beautiful. This charming town is full of history, charm, and outstanding natural scenery. If you haven’t been there already, you had better start planning your trip soon. With summer now in full swing, it’s the perfect time to make a stop. Check it out:
Red Wing is a beautiful town nestled among the hills of Minnesota's bluff country.
At the summit, you'll have an incredible view of Red Wing, the Mississippi River, and even Wisconsin to the east. This alone makes Red Wing worth visiting.
Downtown Red Wing is also a wonder to behold. With the bluff rising above them, the busy streets are bursting with charm. Many of the buildings are historic, dating back to the early days of Red Wing.
And don't forget to check out the Pottery Museum of Red Wing. Here, you'll find over 6,000 pieces of Red Wing stoneware, including a few 70-gallon crocks made for the 1923 Minnesota State Fair. If you love antiques, this is a must-stop spot for you.
If you're looking for a quirky stop, check out the World's Largest Boot at the Red Wing Museum. This spot is another one that pays tribute to a world-famous product that put Red Wing on the map. Like Red Wing stoneware, Red Wing boots are an important facet of the town's history.
