What are some relatable things about Minnesota?

We all want to be resilient, and braving very cold weather year after year is a sure sign of resilience. We can all relate to wanting to go back inside when the cold wind blows hard across your body. Yet Minnesotans simply close the door behind them and get to work. That’s inspiring and relatable.

Most everyone strolls through Target once in a while. But, Minnesotans enjoy their time in this homegrown store a bit more. Pride in a local and iconic brand is very relatable.

There is cool slang here like everywhere. If you are visiting for the first time you will notice others saying “pop” rather than “soda.” You will also hear full phrases like, “Oh yeah, you betcha,” that will make you wish your state said it too. 

Then there’s the beer. Lots of people like to drink beer in Minnesota. This unites just about everyone on some level.

Hockey, baseball, and football are all big here.
