Over the years Minnesota has become known for a few specific foods, among them, those created in pyrex. We love nothing more than our home-cooked comfort food, and whether or not you eat them on a regular basis, if you’re a real Minnesotan you won’t be able to stop your mouth from watering when you read this list of MN favorites.

We'll also take these molten cheeseburgers in hotdish form. Basically this is the super cheesy variety of the previously mentioned hamburger hotdish.

Everyone loves ice cream, but Minnesota LOVES ice cream. We have so many places with homemade ice cream it's crazy.

Breakfast hotdish. Eggs, hash browns, sausage... basically we throw in anything delicious that you would normally eat before noon.

Straight from our lakes, we favor it fried, but any preparation is still guaranteed to be a Minnesota favorite.

Because while everyone else dreads the ominous "tuna casserole", we think our mom's tuna hotdish is pretty dang good. The name makes all the difference.

Our favorite meat for cooking up all summer long. They're the best.

Pizza hotdish! A newer take on the old classic. Because we love a good pizza but we'd rather scoop it out of a pan.

Sure this could be an effect of residing this close to Wisconsin for so long, but if you've had the ones at the State Fair especially, you get why the whole state can't help but love them.

The only thing better than hotdish is when you put it on a stick and deep fry it.
