The night before Christmas brings with it widespread anticipation of the gifts to come the following morning, and for many in the upcoming year as well. In Minnesota, many of us are hoping for some of the same presents, and I’m not talking about that discounted Shop Vac from Menards, sorry Dad. From weather patterns to sports victories, here’s what Minnesota wants from Santa the most this holiday season.

1. A Super Bowl.

2. Not to mention, to generally perform well in all professional sports.

3. To wake up to a beautiful blanket of snow over Minnesota on Christmas morning.

4. The ability to eat endless amounts of fried food, without any ramifications.

The State Fair would be infinitely better. But Santa, a discount on personal training would also be okay.
5. A summer with fewer mosquitos.

Or at least fewer mosquito bites. They can stay as long as they leave us alone.
