As one of the most bike friendly cities in the world, Minneapolis residents take advantage of their trails by biking through the cold, hard winter. We're hearty people, and definitely willing to prove we're tougher than an Abominable Snowman.
Anyone who has taken driver's ed definitely knows the rules about four-way stop signs, but that doesn't mean Minneapolitans won't hesitate at every stop. It creates some confusion for other drivers and sometimes ends in a crash anyway.
Twin Cities residents pride themselves in being able to endure any weather extreme that's thrown at them. For many, once the temperature is above freezing, it means summer is just around the corner and it's time to pull out shorts and flip flops.

You bumped into me? I'm so sorry. You forgot my birthday? I'm sorry. My house wasn't immaculate before you came to visit? I'm sorry; please forgive me. Minneapolitans have made apologizing into a competitive sport, and they're pretty darn good at it.
For any Minneapolitan, a goodbye is an entire ordeal that can take up to an hour. At any gathering, one must say goodbye to every individual, something heartfelt must be said, hugs must be shared, and it must take a million years to gather all of your things before you leave. We're sorry, but it's a requirement.
