We’ve talked about great places to grab an ice cream, but what about a milkshake or a malt? There’s something special about these cool treats that brings people back to simpler times. And what better way to enjoy a classic than at a retro-style restaurant that is practically dripping with nostalgia? Snuffy’s Malt Shop is a Twin Cities icon that has been serving up burgers and malts for more than 30 years. They are constantly adding new flavors, making it the perfect milkshake bar to get something truly incredible. Check it out:
Snuffy's Malt Shop is a St. Paul classic that has been around since 1983. It's so classic, in fact, that there are now several other locations throughout the Twin Cities.
Each location has a 1950s vibe, though the decor varies from store to store. But one thing rings true no matter which restaurant you stop in: you'll find great food and even greater malts, no matter what.
Along with your burger, you can get a nice, salty basket of fries. Or if you're in the mood for something different, try their outstanding onion rings.
Like any other restaurant, certain menu items have become the bread and butter of the establishment. That can be said of carrot cake malts, one of the shop's most popular flavors.
Snuffy's also sometimes hold contests for Snuffy's fans to create the best flavor. In May 2017, the honor went to a cookie butter and gingerbread concoction.
All in all, Snuffy's Malt Shop is a Minnesota classic that is well worth a visit. Pop by any of the locations for a great dining experience with a neighborhood feel.
