Given Minnesota’s beautiful natural landscape, we Minnesotans are lucky to have plenty of scenic byways, stunning state parks, and magnificent overlooks. There are plenty to choose from, but one of the best is a ruggedly beautiful spot on Minnesota’s North Shore. For those who make the journey to its location in Tettegouche State Park, a trip to the Palisade Head overlook will be an unforgettable experience.
Palisade Head is a gorgeous rock formation on the North Shore of Lake Superior. At its tallest point, it stands about 300 feet above the lake.
The journey may feel even longer to those anticipating the gorgeous views. Once you can finally see Lake Superior's sparkling blue waters, you know you're in the right place.
