When they imagine beautiful landscapes in Minnesota, most people picture the north. After all, this region is full of huge forests, thousands of lakes, and even a small mountain range. But there are other regions of Minnesota that are just as beautiful. In the southeast, the rolling hills of the Driftless Area make up one of the most breathtaking landscapes in the state. It is here that you’ll find many bluffs, including the one we’d like to introduce today. The little-known Maglessen Bluff in Rushford, Minnesota, is one of the prettiest land features of southeastern Minnesota. Follow the trail up the bluff, and you’ll find a gorgeous view of Minnesota’s bluff country from high above the ground. Here’s what it looks like:
Maglessen Bluff Park is a lovely park in the tiny town of Rushford, Minnesota. It's about 140 miles southeast of the Twin Cities. Though the park is not well-known among most Minnesotans, it is absolutely beautiful.
Soon, you'll make it to the top of the bluff. All around you, you'll see the rolling hills and bluffs of southeastern Minnesota, far into the distance.
If you visit in the morning, you'll have an especially lovely view. The land below is often shrouded in a blanket of fog. It will fade away as the sun comes up, and you'll be left with a beautiful sunrise sky!
