Minnesota has its fair share of magical locations that, in one visit, can make your imagination swirl with possibilities. We have whimsical art exhibits, quirky restaurants, and breathtaking beauty that together make it pretty easy to believe our state is truly special. One special place that holds some of Mother Nature’s magic? Minneopa State Park. A visit to this gorgeous spot is like stepping into a fantasy world.
Minneopa State Park is the third oldest park in Minnesota. Located in Mankato, its main feature is the beautiful Minneopa Falls.
The bridge is great for an up-close view of the falls. Visitors often stop here for photography opportunities - or just to take in the beauty of the park.
However, the bridge may offer a better view from far away. Walk down the stone steps for a picturesque view of the bridge crossing the creek. It truly looks like something from a fantasy movie.
Best of all, Minneopa State Park is beautiful all year. The summer greenery, fall color, and even the frozen icicles of winter all make this gorgeous park simply magical.
