Minneopa State Park is the third oldest park in Minnesota. Located in Mankato, its main feature is the beautiful Minneopa Falls.

Minneopa Creek actually rushes over two falls. The upper falls is a 6-foot drop leading into the stunning lower falls.

At about 40 feet tall, the high falls of Minneopa Creek is the tallest waterfall in southern Minnesota.

The bridge is great for an up-close view of the falls. Visitors often stop here for photography opportunities - or just to take in the beauty of the park.

However, the bridge may offer a better view from far away. Walk down the stone steps for a picturesque view of the bridge crossing the creek. It truly looks like something from a fantasy movie.
