In Minnesota, it’s easy to get so focused on the big picture that you overlook small details. It’s no wonder, given the immense beauty of every corner of our state. Who’s going to focus on a single tree when we’ve got endless forests of them, or on a single drop of water when we’ve got over 10,000 lakes? But next time you’re in Minneapolis, you might want to keep your eyes peeled for the magical secret doors that have sprung up in parts of the city.
The doors are created by a San Francisco-turned-Minneapolis street artist named Mows - pronounced "mouse." He has created over 100 of the doors between the two cities.
And if you find a door, make sure to snap a photo to remember it by. According to the artist, about half of the doors only last a few weeks until they disappear.
If you want to keep up with new door locations, be sure to check out Mows on Instagram by following mows510. There, you can check out current and past mouse doors in Minneapolis as well as Mows's past work in other cities.
Have you found any of these secret doors? Let us know where you’ve seen them!
