It seems like Minnesota has tasty restaurants on just about every corner. It may seem like it’s concentrated around the Twin Cities in the southern part of the state, but there are plenty of delicious eateries up north, too. In fact, some of these out-of-the-way spots are the most Minnesotan places you’ll ever eat. That’s certainly the case for Fish Tales Bar and Grill. This log cabin restaurant up north is the epitome of Minnesota. Take a look:
Have you ever heard of Squaw Lake, Minnesota? It's a tiny town in northern Minnesota, about 50 miles northwest of Bemidji. There's not much there, but it is home to Fish Tales Bar and Grill. Address: 50748 MN-46, Squaw Lake, MN 56681.
Just like you might expect from a restaurant in northern Minnesota, Fish Tales looks like a cozy log cabin. It fits right into Minnesota's lake-filled cabin country.
When you walk inside, the cabin theme continues. The bar is large enough to accommodate many people, but you'll never have to wait long for a drink here. All of your favorite beers are on tap.
The dining room has a big stone fireplace. Many tables provide ample room for groups big and small alike. You can count on quick service and great food here.
Burgers and sandwiches are menu staples, with many different options that are sure to satisfy everyone in your group. Each of the many options comes with chips, fries, or tater tots.
Fish Tales Bar and Grill is open Monday and Wednesday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Tuesday 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., Thursday through Saturday 8 a.m. to midnight, and Sunday 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. For more information, check out their website or Facebook page!
