If you’ve spent any time in Minnesota, you know that going up north is a way of life. People flock to northern Minnesota to take in the sparkling waters of Lake Superior, hike through endless forests, and paddle the lakes of the vast Boundary Waters. All of these natural attractions are great, but there are plenty of human-made attractions up north as well. One happens to be a popular middle-of-nowhere restaurant tucked away in Laporte, Minnesota. Next time you’re traveling through the area, be sure to pay this tasty spot a visit. It’s a must-stop spot for anyone traveling through the area!
Knob & Kettle is a roadside restaurant in Laporte, Minnesota. This small community of just 152 people is about 200 miles northwest of the Twin Cities or 25 miles south of Bemidji. it’s a great stop for anyone passing through Minnesota’s resort region.

If you’re a bit more hungry, the restaurant has a great selection of sandwiches. Burgers include a classic hamburger, a mushroom and Swiss, and even a veggie burger - to name a few.
