If you’re looking for a wonderful place where your kids – and everyone else’s – can go to play and feel welcome, regardless of age or ability, I think you’re going to like this suggestion. It’s one of the largest inclusive playgrounds in Minnesota, and you’ll find it at Woodridge Park in Cottage Grove.
Woodridge Park is located in the city of Cottage Grove in the southeastern part of the Twin Cities metro area.
The park is comprised of 50 beautiful acres, much of which is wooded. Facilities include multi-use and hiking trails, picnic areas and shelters, basketball and tennis courts, and two baseball fields. In the winter, there's a sledding hill and an ice skating rink.
But the park's crown jewel, perhaps, is its massive inclusive playground.
Coming in at more than 23,000 square feet, the playground boasts more than 80 pieces of equipment that's suited for a wide range of ages and abilities.

Several pieces of equipment are designed for accessibility and can be used by children of all ages and abilities.
The playground was designed with safety, as well as inclusivity, in mind, and one of the things I find most impressive is that all 23,000 square feet is covered with accessible surfacing.
