It’s not every day that you get to dine in a beautiful restaurant with delicious food and a fascinating history. Most eateries exist solely to serve food, but there are a few places where you can get all of the above. Here in the Land of 10,000 Lakes, we have firehouse-themed grilles, restaurants that take you away to a tropical paradise, and many other unique places to dine. One of the most unique? This restaurant in Minneapolis that used to be a bank. Take a look:
BANK is a restaurant located at 88 South 6th Street in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It is located within the Westin Minneapolis hotel.
From the outside, the restaurant looks like it did more than 60 years ago when it was the Farmers & Mechanics Bank. The original signage is still on the building.
The interior is just as grand. The old bank lobby is now an enormous dining area with high ceilings, original millwork, and the same character the old bank had decades ago.
The BANK happy hour is also a great way to experience this bank-turned-restaurant. What better way to take in the surroundings than with a drink in hand?
