Many people love an easy stroll through a beautiful, natural area to ease their minds and find some calm. Sometimes, however, one wants something a bit more adventurous. Luckily there are an abundance of amazing hiking trails in Minnesota; here are five of moderate difficulty that lead to gorgeous views and bucolic surroundings.

A hike to a lake is always a treat, but what about to two lakes? Superior Hiking Trail leads to Bean and Bear Lakes and rewards hikers with magnificent views like this.
The sound of trickling streams accompanies you as you make your way along this 6.3-mile trail. Backpackers love this area, especially from May through October.
I don't think anyone could ever get enough views like this. Sitting amongst the trees with a stunning view of Lake Superior is something that can't be beat!
This 3.2-mile trail will take you through a thickly wooded forest and is frequented by hikers and runners. It takes about an hour and a half and these views will make that time fly right by.
Minnesota sure is full of outstanding trails overlooking serene lakes. Near Grand Portage, MN, the Mount Josephine Lookout Tower Trail is perfect for a good hike and has a bit more solitude than many trails.
