Many of Minnesota’s most well-known lakefront restaurants are in busy resort towns. They look out over popular lakes such as Leech, Mille Lacs, and Vermilion. But there are many lesser-known beachfront eateries to consider – including some in small-town Minnesota! That includes the wonderful little spot we’d like to introduce today. If you’re looking for a beachfront restaurant where you can enjoy a great meal and sink your toes into the sand, look no further than Fisher’s Club in Avon, Minnesota. Take a look:
Fisher’s Club is a lakefront restaurant in Avon, Minnesota. This small town is in Stearns County, about 15 miles west of St. Cloud, or 80 miles northwest of the Twin Cities.
One of the first things you’ll notice about Fisher’s Club is its proximity to the water. It’s right on the shores of small but beautiful Middle Spunk Lake. There’s even a sandy beach steps away from the restaurant!
Of course, the inside of the restaurant is also lovely. Fisher’s Club has been around since the 1930s, and it shows. There’s evidence of its history all around the restaurant, and you can enjoy it from the comfy dining area.
Wherever you sit, you’re guaranteed to have a great meal. The Fisher’s Club menu is full of great sandwiches, salads, and more. You can’t go wrong with a burger. There are eight different burgers to choose from, so there’s truly something for everyone.
If you want something a little lighter, there are plenty of sandwiches as well. Pulled pork, chicken pesto, and shrimp po’boy are just a few of the options. All sandwiches and burgers come with choice of fries, coleslaw, or potato salad.
But Fisher’s Club’s most famous meal is its walleye dinner! Served with up to three walleye fillets, it comes with your choice of potato and salad. You don’t want to miss out on this - there’s a reason it’s so famous!
