Minnesota has a lot of great claims to fame when it comes to inventions, medical accomplishments, and historical stories, but there are a few things, from crazy laws to world records to downright fascinating facts that we think belong in the history books – or at least are hilarious or noteworthy enough to be mentioned in school from time to time. Here are 10 facts that none of our students are ever going to hear in class, but that are truly pretty interesting, and unique to the land of 10,000 lakes.

1. We made history with a world-record, 10 foot diameter bacon cheeseburger. It was 2,014 pounds of pure delight.

3. Minnesota is the proud meeting spot of the largest gathering of mustaches, totaling 1,131.
