Saint Paul Brewing not only serves up some awesome suds, it’s home to a garden restaurant in Minnesota that will make you feel like you’ve stepped into a different, magical world. Built from the ruins of a historic former brewery, this secret garden of a patio belongs on your Minnesota dining bucket list.

By the time Saint Paul Brewing (and its predecessor Flat Earth) occupied the property, much of it had fallen into ruin.

However, rather than undertake a costly restoration or anything of that nature, the brewery embraced the stark, mysterious beauty of the ruin, itself.
The result is a magical garden patio that is one of my favorite places to dine in the entire state of Minnesota.
