But it is possible to get a unique view of the Boundary Waters by drone. YouTube user RubberPantz used a drone to create a spectacular video of one Boundary Waters lake from above. The footage is incredible, and it’ll inspire you to go forth and explore this part of Minnesota.

Many Boundary Waters visitors have come across large animals such as black bears, moose, and wolves. There are also many beavers and birds in the area, including the famous loon. Loon calls can often be heard echoing across these northern Minnesota lakes.
There are many entry points to the Boundary Waters. People take different routes depending on their final destination.

Popular activities in the Boundary Waters include hiking, canoeing, fishing, and camping. If you're a nature lover and you're up for the task of exploring the wilderness, the Boundary Waters are a must-see addition to your bucket list. There are many campsites throughout the Boundary Waters, as well as plenty of outfitters who will help you plan your trip.

In the drone video below, the pilot explores the uninhabited Flour Lake. This lake is surrounded on all sides by vast forest. Starting from a lakeside campsite, the drone travels 1,500 feet into the area. It shows off the tops of trees, the outline of the lake, and the breathtaking beauty of Minnesota's Boundary Waters.
