Duluth, Minnesota, is home to plenty of tried-and-true restaurants that have been around for decades. For ice cream, many visit the PortLand Malt Shoppe. Deluxe Coney Island is a longstanding restaurant in Duluth, Minnesota. It's been open since 1928 - nearly 100 years - and it stands in Duluth's busy downtown area.
When you walk into the restaurant, you'll be greeted by an old-school dining room that is often bustling with activity. Though the furnishings look like they come from decades past, the restaurant is clean and bright, and the staff is as friendly as you'll find anywhere.
Other than hot dogs, Deluxe Coney Island is also known for its gyros. Thin slices of lamb and beef are piled on pita bread and topped with tzatziki sauce, tomato, and onion. If you're looking for something different, this could be the ticket!
