Sure, there are plenty of grab-and-go sandwich spots around. The chain restaurants do well at serving up quick and tasty creations. You can even get a decent sandwich pre-made at a grocery store or gas station. But what if you want more than a sandwich? What if you want a meal? Then, next time you’re hungry around lunchtime, you may want to check out Crossroads Deli. This longstanding spot has served up delicious ‘wishes for years, and it’s still going strong. Check it out:
Since 1996, Crossroads Delicatessen has been a staple of those who live in Hopkins. Address: 2795 Hedberg Drive, Hopkins, MN 55305.
When your food is ready, there's a bright, comfortable dining room to enjoy it in. This place often fills up fast, but it's well worth the wait to sit down and enjoy your meal.
As for the food, it's nothing short of delicious. For example, try a mouthwatering pastrami and corned beef sandwich. All sandwiches are served with fries and coleslaw to round out the meal.
The deli also serves up weck sandwiches. These sandwiches - made with beef or turkey on kummelweck rolls - are common in western New York, and they're absolutely delicious.
Crossroads Deli is open Sunday to Thursday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Saturday 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. For more information about menu, location, and hours, check out their website and Facebook page. And be sure to check out other article about Minnesota’s oldest deli.
