For many of us in the Land of 10,000 Lakes, the CPKC/Canadian Pacific Holiday Train in Minnesota is a beloved Christmas season tradition. For several years now, it’s illuminated our nights and brightened our days during this festive time. The Holiday Train is back this year, and there will be many opportunities for you to see it in the Bold North – I can hardly wait, myself!
This year, the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train will roll into Minnesota on December 6, with 25 stops scheduled over the next several days.
On that day, it will stop in Loretto, Buffalo, Annandale, and Eden Valley.
December 14 is the Holiday Train's last full day in the North Star State, visiting Glenwood, Alexandria, Detroit Lakes, Mahnomen, Plummer, and Thief River Falls.
For stops from December 6 to December 11, Tenille Townes and Breland are scheduled to perform. Folks who visit the train December 13 through 15 are scheduled to see Dallas Smith and MacKenzie Porter.
For a full schedule and to see how close the CPKC Holiday Train will be to your town, as well as to see exact times and locations, visit the Holiday Train’s dedicated web page. In the Twin Cities, the train’s visit to St. Paul usually coincides with the European Christmas Market in Lowertown near Union Depot, so you could certainly plan a whole day, evening, or weekend around the event.
