When I go out, I tend to prefer smaller, cozier restaurants. The experience feels more personalized, and of course, they’re ideal if you’re looking for a place where you can enjoy a quiet conversation and the company of your dining companion. One intimate restaurant in Minnesota where you’ll find just the kind of ambiance and service I’m describing is the wonderful Tutto Bene in Bemidji.

Although high-ceiling and cozy, the tables are spaced so that you can enjoy the company of your dining companion rather than the conversations from other tables.

When the weather is nice, Tutto Bene also offers seating on its enchanting patio.

The menu at this Italian-inspired restaurant rotates on a regular basis - about weekly - so you'll have the opportunity to try new dishes each time you visit.

Tutto Bene's offerings are organized in traditional Italian course order, starting with antipasti, soups, salads, and bruschetti.

You'll find several pasta offerings on the menu, ranging from the simple, such as spaghetti and meatballs, to more inspired dishes like snow crab-stuffed ravioli.

The secondi are heartier dishes. They include offerings like chicken piccata, steak, pork, or lamb.

Given its location, it may seem somewhat surprising that Tutto Bene's seafood offerings are as strong as they are.
