If there’s one thing we know about Minnesota, it’s that its residents have a great appreciation for both art and nature. The most common places to enjoy art are in museums and galleries. But these places, though great, can often feel stuffy and overcrowded. So why not move the art outside? That’s what they’ve done at Caponi Art Park in Eagan, Minnesota. Here, visitors can stroll the beautiful grounds while taking in thought-provoking, imaginative sculptures. Next time you have an itching to get creative while taking in some fresh air and sunshine, consider a trip to this expansive art park. Read on below to learn about all that they offer.
Caponi Art Park is an outdoor center of art and nature in Eagan, Minnesota. The park opened in 1987 and has been dedicated to promoting creativity ever since.
The art park spans 60 acres, making it one of the largest sculpture parks in Minnesota. With the quiet woods surrounding you, you'll feel much further from the city than you are.
There are many trails throughout the park. Some trails are dirt, while others are gravel or rough brick, so be sure to wear the right shoes! Also note that accessibility may be difficult for some.
