Have you been itching to go on a little adventure? For a beautiful boardwalk trail through Minnesota wetlands, you’ll want to head out to Blaine Wetland Sanctuary for a great little hike. A short trail through some of Minnesota’s natural beauty is all you’ll need for a great day outdoors. Why not bookmark this spot for a future road trip stop?
Welcome to the beautiful Blaine Wetland Sanctuary, where this little hiking trail is ready for you to enjoy.
5.6 miles of trail will take under two hours to complete on average and is mostly paved and boardwalk path for an easy hiking experience. However, only part of the trail covers the nature area, so even that 5.6 miles can be cut down without losing beauty.
Blaine Wetland Sanctuary covers more than 500 acres of wetland and its wildlife. The sanctuary works hard to keep invasive plants at bay, which is always appreciated. If you listen and look closely, you may see animals and plants otherwise hidden from most eyes. It's like a game of I Spy!
The comfort of hiking on a boardwalk is unmatched and a great option for those who want an easy hike with great scenery. Out here, it's just you and nature, without any obstacles in your way. It even looks beautiful during colder months when the scenery changes colors and adds a blanket of snow.
Watching the area evolve as time goes on is one benefit to hiking a trail more than once. Since this hike is short and sweet, it's easy to work into a larger road trip.
