There are certain restaurants in Minnesota that keep people coming back thanks to their great service and amazing food. One example is Betty’s Pies. This restaurant is an icon of the North Shore, attracting visitors since it opened in the 1950s. Today, Betty’s Pies still draws people in from the highways and byways. Betty's Pies is an iconic restaurant along Highway 61 in Two Harbors, Minnesota. It's right on the North Shore, just across the street from Lake Superior.
Betty's Pies has been serving up great food since 1956, when it opened to serve local fishermen. In time, the restaurant became known for its delicious desserts.
When you visit, you'll feel right at home in the 1950s-style dining area. If you can snag a window seat, you'll have great views of the surrounding forest - and maybe even a glimpse of the lake a few feet away.
Of course, the item that gave Betty's Pies its name is why many people come here. The pie menu is huge, with many delicious flavors. You'll have a hard time choosing!
If you're a baked pie fan, you may want to go with the classic apple or the unique Great Lakes fruit pie. It has apple, rhubarb, blueberry, strawberry, and raspberry. Yum!
Of course, there are many cream pies on the menu as well. Key lime and French silk are crowd-pleasers. If you're craving something a little different, try orange chocolate, Butterfinger, or chocolate mint!
All in all, you can’t go wrong with a stop at this iconic North Shore restaurant. No matter which pie you choose, it’s bound to be delicious! For more information about Betty’s Pies, including menus, takeout options, and more, check out their website and Facebook page.
