Minnesota has dozens of great bakeries scattered all across the state. It doesn’t take much traveling to find just what you’re looking for, whether it’s an expertly baked bread or a decadent donut. And don’t think you have to stick to the Twin Cities to find great baked goods, either. There are plenty of bakeshops to sample in smaller towns as well. One of the best? Rush City Bakery, a 114-year-old bakery located in the heart of small-town Minnesota. Take a look:
Rush City Bakery has been around since 1903, making it 114 years old. In a town as small as Rush City - just over 3,000 people live there - that's pretty impressive.
If you're a donut fan, Rush City Bakery has perfected the art over the past century. Classic donuts, cinnamon rolls, and sweet rolls are on the menu here.
That goes double for their phenomenal cakes. Rush City Bakery makes intricately decorated cakes in just about any theme imaginable. Of course, they make an incredible wedding cake, too.
