If you’ve lived in Minnesota for any amount of time, you probably realize that our state is full of wonderful communities. They offer up beautiful scenery, fun attractions, and more. It would be impossible for us to pick the best. But others have certainly tried. That includes Money Magazine, which recently ranked Chanhassen, Minnesota, as the best place to live in the United States.
They ranked the city based on factors such as health, cost of living, safety, amenities, and overall quality of life. This may seem like it comes out of left field, but Chanhassen has plenty to offer if you’re willing to look for it. Below, you’ll find some of the city’s best offerings that will quickly convince you that Chanhassen deserves the top spot. Check it out:
Chanhassen, Minnesota, is a lovely community of about 20,000 people just southwest of Minneapolis. Given its many amenities, it's no wonder that it was named the best place to live in the U.S.
For one thing, this well-kept community is lovely whether you're in a commercial zone or a residential area. The many attractions are bustling, but the neighborhoods are quiet and safe, with lovely tree-lined streets in abundance.
There are plenty of attractions to keep you busy in Chanhassen. Of course, we would be remiss not to mention Paisley Park, the private estate of Prince. Tours are available of this legendary residence, and special exhibitions bring even more interest to the estate.
If you're itching for a live performance, Chanhassen Dinner Theatres is also a must. As the nation's largest professional dinner theatre, they bring live theatre performances to Chanhassen almost every night of the year.
For those who prefer more nature-based activities, Chanhassen has plenty to offer. Several parks offer lovely lakes, fun playgrounds, and grassy picnic areas. You'll love fishing, boating, and simply relaxing at Lake Susan Park, Rice Marsh Lake Park, and more.
