Did you know that Minnesota is home to many notable places of worship? For example, the Basilica of St. Mary in Minneapolis is the oldest Basilica in the United States. Likewise, the largest Buddhist temple in the United States is found in rural Hampton, Minnesota. These places are beautiful and impressive. Of course, there are many smaller places of worship that are also worth noting. In the past, we’ve explored the Blue Mound Wayside Chapel and the oldest church in Minnesota. And today, we’d like to introduce yet another notable place. Angels of the Prairie is a beautiful country chapel in Minnesota that will inspire you like nowhere else. Read on below to learn more about this special place:
Angels of the Prairie is a beautiful chapel in rural Minnesota. More specifically, it's in Isanti County, near the small town of Cambridge. In the summer months, it is a botanical garden with many beautiful plants in bloom.
And in the winter, it may be decorated for Christmas or covered in a blanket of snow. This charming chapel looks like something out of an old-time movie.
Inside, it's even more beautiful. Many details come from the historic Zion Norwegian Lutheran Church in Towner, North Dakota, built more than 120 years ago. This includes the set of beautiful stained glass windows that cast a magical glow on the chapel's interior.
This chapel is a wonderful place to pray, reflect, or simply take in the peaceful rural surroundings and simple beauty. It's one of the most unique places to visit in Minnesota.
